Tone Poems

by All My Pretty Ones

1.
Do or Don't When you hardly know where you want to go well your thumbs already out do you really want to go for a ride, well you do or don't do you want to live in a pretty world where the doors are closed? is it really any wonder then you always choke you can stack your papers higher they hold up your sky careful when they come raining down, though all you ever did is try all you ever did is try and after all you've tried and won you never will be sure all that you hold in your hand is fire to hide or lure fire to hide or lure where you think you're gonna put that foot down, sir first you need to stand you've been thinking on a few different styles, but do you need a hand? and is there only room for the smaller dreams well you've got those in spades but the secret's gonna pass your lips someday and it'll be a scream and you can talk a real big game so big it wins when your mouth is all done and shut, well are you out or in? are you out or in? and out or in or high or low you always come back here if you do or if you don't there only is one fear only is one fear
